Seerah (النبی صلی الله علیه وسلم) Society, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus has organized the Seerat Conference event on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 08:30 to 10:00 hours in Haroon Rasheed Auditorium.
Imminent Islamic Scholar, Mr. Shujauddin Shaikh, was the honorable the guest speaker. The topic of the talk was “توحید، ختم نبوت اور ہماری ذمہ داریاں”۔ A large number of Faculty members, students, and other employees of the campus attended the event. The event started with the recitation from Holy Quran.
Mr. Shujauddin Shaikh, thanked the CUI Abbottabad Campus for inviting him for this very important event. He enlightened the audience with his thought provoking and full of wisdom narrations from the life of Prophet صلی الله علیه وسلم and linked them with the contemporary challenges being faced by the Ummah.
Mr. Shaikh while elaborating the concept of Allah almighty in Islam, highlighted the concept of Superbeing in all religions besides Christianity and Judaism. The warns that the prevailing growing suspicion about the existence of God and over reliance on rationalism and logic is deteriorating the fundamental fabrics of religious thought. Highlighting the role of Prophets and that of the last prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Mr. Shujauddin Shaikh quoted the verses from holy Quran to prove the finality of Prophethood. He stressed upon the audience to refer to learn, understand, and spread the teaching of Quran and Sunnah to please Allah almighty and to come out of these stressful lives. Refereeing to the prevailing situation in Palestine, especially in Gaza, he highlighted the concept of Jihad at micro and macro level. An interactive session of Q&A was followed by his speech.
The honorable guest donated the books of Dr. Israr Ahmed for Seerah Book corner of CUI, Abbottabad Library.
Earlier, the Convener of the Seerah Society, Dr. Jamil Anwar apprised the audience about the objectives and the mandate of Seerah Society and emphasized that we must make our daily life practices in line with the life of Prophet Muhammad صلی الله علیه وسلم and make the Seerah relevant to the contemporary solutions. For this purpose, such events and interactions with the eminent scholars are necessary to reinforce the teachings and practices of the Prophet صلی الله علیه وسلم. He thanked the Campus Director for the efforts of Seerah صلی الله علیه وسلم Society team, students, and all administrative staff for their patronage and support for organizing this event.
The Director COMSATS Abbottabad Campus, Professor Shahid Khattak in his concluded remarks thanked the guest speaker for his time and enlightened session. Professor Khattak elaborated the concept of finality of Prophet Hood (ختم نبوت) and explained that Islam as a religion and code of life encompasses a ll the aspect of human life for all times and the solution of all problems. He condemned the situation in Gaza and promised to provide support to the people Gaza by generating the funds. He also discouraged to use the products of those companies supporting Israel. The Director also emphasized strengthening and enhancing the activities of Seerah Societygard. He concluded that the only way to move forward and lead the world again is to follow the life of Muhammad صلی الله علیه وسلم in true letter and spirit.
In the end, Souvenir was presented to the honorable guest, and a group photo was taken with the faculty, students and organizers of the event.
